Why Chanel n°5?

Nel 1921 i due compositori di profumi di Coco Chanel, Ernest beaux ed Henry Robert mescolarono ottanta ingredienti diversi( tra cui l'essenza di gelsomino) per creare un profumo che secondo le indicazioni di Coco dovesse incarnare un concetto di femminilità senza tempo, unica ed affascinante.
Fu così che venne creato Chanel n°5 che non fu innovativo soltanto per la struttura della fragranza, ma per la novità del nome e l'essenzialità del flacone. Chanel trovava ridicoli i nomi altisonanti dei profumi dell'epoca. tanto che decise di chiamare la sua fragranza con un numero, perchè corrispondeva alla quinta proposta olfattiva che le aveva fatto Ernest.
Indimenticabile poi, la famosa affermazione di Marilyn che, sollecitata a confessare come e con quale abbigliamento andasse a letto, confesso:" Con due gocce di Chanel n°5".
Il flacone poi, assolutamente all'avanguardia, è diventato famoso per la sua struttura essenziale ed il tappo tagliato come uno smeraldo. Esposto oggi al Museo di Arte Moderna di New York.

So that was created Chanel N°5 that was innovative not only for the structure of the fragrance, but for the novelty of the name and the essentiality of the bottle.
Chanel felt ridiculous sounding names of the perfumes of the time.
so much that he decided to call his fragrance with a number, because it corresponded to the fifth proposal olfactory that Ernest had shown to her.
Unforgettable then, the famous statement that Marilyn, when confesses how and with clothes she usually wore at bed, she confesses: "With two drops of Chanel N° 5 ".
The bottle also, cutting-edge, has become famous for its essential structure and the cap cut as an emerald. Shown today at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
